This morning’s Wake and Bake review is on White Fire OG, from Desert Bloom Re-Leaf Center at
Tucson, AZ. (not to be confused with Bloom Dispensary)
It had been a few days since my last flower strain review, so I was excited to try this out.
Visually, the bud was mostly light green with some orange hairs and then covered in sparkly trichomes. No wonder it’s called White.
It smelled like sweet berries and pine. I was looking forward to tasting it. The bud was hard and dry so when I squeezed, it fell apart, but still left my fingers sticky with THC.
We ground up the bud in our GR8TR grinder from Kannastör, rolled up our morning joint and away we went.
The joint tasted citrusy and earthy at first. It was really slow burning and went out a few times because it was so sticky. You would never guess that a bud this dry would be so sticky. It’s good stuff!
The effects crept up over the next few minutes. I was feeling the cerebral effects as well as a heavy relaxation spreading over my body and melting away aches and pains. As far as my brain goes, I was feeling inspired and creative. I suddenly wanted to start writing in rhyme, for a short time. Then my mind flipped on a dime. I smiled at my experience with this White Fire OG.
I decided to research this stuff, that I was thinking was a 50/50 hybrid.
According to wikileaf, “White Fire OG (sometimes called Wifi OG) is an Indica-dominant (60/40 Indica) hybrid strain of cannabis. Its THC level regularly reaches up to 25 percent while its CBD content is quite low – generally around 0.5 percent. A child of two well established strains – Fire OG Kush and The White – White Fire OG has become quite popular throughout medical and recreational dispensaries in the West. Originally bred in the early 2000’s it has built a reputation for a unique look and routinely high potency.”
But according to Leafly, “White Fire OG, also known as WiFi OG, is a 60% sativa hybrid with uplifting and comfortable cerebrally focused effects. This strain combines the best features of its parent strains: the sour, earthy, diesel aroma of Fire OG and the high resin production of The White that leaves the plants covered in a dusty snowfall of crystals.”
Either way, both agree that it’s great for treating depression, anxiety/stress and pain. It’s effects are happy and relaxed, creative, energetic and euphoric.
About an hour later, I did a bong hit of this crystal white flower and was immediately stoned again. I’d pondered a lot over the past hour and it was a philosophical and contemplative journey.
