Arizona’s Secretary of State has confirmed that the potential legalization of the possession and cultivation of marijuana will be on the November 8th ballot here in Arizona! The Marijuana Policy Project along with local dispensary owners here in the state received over 250,000 signatures on their petition that they submitted to the state on June 30th. If passed, adults 21 years and older will be able to purchase and possess one ounce of marijuana at a time as well as grow up to six plants in their homes. A specific number of marijuana retailers would be established throughout Arizona and would be available to the public. The Arizonans for Responsible Drug Policy, a coalition made up of 13 individuals and groups, have filed a lawsuit against the measure because they believe the public have been deceived by the propaganda used by the various pro-legalization groups.
